Configuring Free and Paid Membership Levels in Paid Membership Pro Plug-in

With Paid Membership Pro plug-in, you can transform your WordPress website into any type of memberships website. This plug-in has a great community support and can be fully customized according to your need. In this article, you will learn to create multiple membership levels with Paid Membership Pro.

Let’s assume to create the following two membership levels:

  1. Level 1: Free
  2. Level 2: Paid

Firstly, install Paid Membership Pro plug-in in your WP site. After that, go to WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Memberships → Memberships Levels. Click on “Add New Level” and then fill the form as shown in the figure below:

For Free membership level, enter the following required information:

  1. Name (Free Level)
  2. Description (according to your need)
  3. Confirmation Message (according to your need)

Leave the rest form as it is. Do not enter the initial payment as you added a free membership level. For reference, see the following screenshot:

Follow the same step for creating Paid membership level. Enter the following required information:

  1. Name (Paid Level)
  2. Description (according to your need)
  3. Confirmation Message (according to your need)
  4. Initial Payment value
  5. If it is a recurring subscription then add the billing amount per year/month/week/day
  6. Check the box if you want this subscription to expire after a specific time

Now create Paid Membership Pro pages and you are good to go. The user will select the membership level first before registering to your website. For paid membership level, you have to integrate a payment gateway like Stripe or PayPal.
